The Basics What does a Peer Group look like?

Good question. Peer groups are comprised of 18-22 independent veterinary practice owners. They are assembled for:

  • Varied experiences and different geographies
  • Shared priorities and business goals
  • Similar patient focus (i.e. Mixed Animal Practice, Equine Practice, Companion Practice, Specialty Practices)

As a VMG member, you will engage in valuable sessions where groups discuss trends, challenges, and best practices. These facilitated discussions are guided by a skilled moderator, ensuring productive and focused conversations in a safe, confidential environment.

It starts with planning. Meetings have clear agendas and are planned in advance by the group. This helps strengthen the team and form a solid plan.

What then?

You learn from experts. You talk about your experiences and you share stories of learning from failures: yours or others.

You discuss the most important issues facing your personal hospital as well as other independent veterinarians.

You help your peers, and you receive help, too.
