Experienced Veterinary Technician (Long Beach, CA)
Seeking a highly dependable, hard-working and flexible Veterinary Technician, RVT or LVT. Utilize your skills and advance your career working in a fast paced 6-doctor, state-of-the-art veterinary hospital in Long Beach. Applicant must be a team player with excellent veterinary hospital skills, self-starter, and the ability to multi-task!
The ideal candidate: Must possess at least 2+ years experience working as a veterinary technician Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Possess exceptional customer service skills Is a people's person and loves working with animals Is detail oriented and self-starter Proficiency in all aspects of technical skills (but are not limited to) Monitoring and recovery Placing IV catheter Anesthesia induction Digital radiology Animal restraint Phlebotomy Dentistry Cystocentesis Ultrasound I-Stat and other in-house lab equipment
Our Hospital Modern building with five exam rooms, 2 large treatment areas, 2 surgery suites, ICU, 3 wards, isolation, doctor and administrative offices Digital radiography Color Doppler ultrasound unit Cardell and SurgiVet BP Pulse Ox ECG spO2 monitors Abaxis VS2 and iStat machines for rapid in house diagnostics New state of the art Dentistry equipment including ultrasonic scaler, high and low speed handpieces and digital dental radiography Flexible and rigid endoscopes for gastrointestinal, nasal, and oral endoscopic procedures Fully stocked in house pharmacy

Salary: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour

Requirements
- At least 2-5 year experience in a veterinary treatment area - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Computer proficiency - Must be able to work weekends and evenings (office opens Mon-Friday 8am-10pm and weekends until 6pm) - Knowledge of AviMark software - is a BIG Plus! - English / Spanish - preferred!
Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience: Veterinary Technician Experience: 2 years (Required)
Work Location: In-person
Ability to commute/relocate: Long Beach, CA 90815: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
